Nikki: Hello. Just dropped by to say hello to a fellow fibromite. Hope you are having a relatively pain free day!
Marlo: Enjoyed the visit....
Erika: Stopping by to say hello! My site is about my struggles living with Chiari. Hope that you are doing well.
Bern: Hi! I'm Bern. People call me that because of my nics. That's not a pic of me up there -- that's my caregiver, my best friend and my husband. I'm not trying to be mushy or anything, but I know that a lot of my fellow Fibromites don't have any support at all so I'm thankful I have him to lean on when I'm having a bad day -- which is almost EVERY day! I'm happy you're here and I'm anxious to hear YOUR story. Feel free to join in any time, OK? That'd be great. Thanks

I'm not too comfortable with these 'BIO' boxes. I USED to be an extroverted, outgoing kind of person. Fibromyalgia changed all that. These days I don't leave the house much or even answer the telephone. My husband and I purchased this computer a year ago and I quit smoking cigarettes to pay for a cable connection. I guess we justify the digital cable as our entertainment as well as a great source of medical and emotional support. Anyone with an illness such as FMS understands the importance of a good support system. I'm one of the lucky ones -- my husband cares for me and, thankfully, believes in me and empathizes with my situation. Not everyone has support to keep them from going absolutely BONKERS with doubt concerning the ailments portrayed as the 'Invisible Illness'. I've already been through the gauntlet and then some, so I know how it feels to go from doctor to doctor seeking treatment for something most wouldn't acknowledge even exsisted! It was 'all in your head' or chocked up to 'just getting older'. I understand how it feels. I now have a doctor who treats my pain, although I'm not convinced he believes in FMS. He can call it whatever he likes as long as he believes in my pain! LOL LOL LOL
I hope to jot down a few thoughts here and there, but, more importantly, I'll try doubly hard to keep everyone as updated as I am by posting new information on the appropriate web page. So check back -- and often -- you never know when the answer YOU'RE looking for turns up. I don't pretend to know ALL the answers, but I've asked enough of my own that I DO have a few of them!! LOL LOL TC & TTYL
